Moisture causes mold to grow on the surfaces of porous nature, both indoors and outdoors. Walls and floors (especially those which are made of ceramic) may be affected by the emergence of green and black spots, which sometimes help to create a more rustic feel but in most cases are annoying. We can use a homemade remedy which consists of white vinegar diluted in water, then, apply the mixture on the affected areas and rub preferably with a wire brush. We also have the option to purchase a specific product for cleaning mold, which can be found at DIY stores and drugstores. This may be diluted in water and applied to the affected surface with a mop, then let it stand for half an hour and scrub with a brush, preferably metallic, to remove stains.
Once you have done the cleaning, if you want to avoid spots in the future we inform you that there are treatments that can be purchased at the sites mentioned above, which prevent the growth of mold.
Finally, we must mention that removing these stains is simple but if the surface is a bit large it would take a while. Therefore, in these cases we recommend the use of machinery as it can be a scrubbing machine.
